If the second B would not be flat, then another sign (of which I can't find the symbol on my keyboard) would have to be added to the second note to nullify the previous flat. Hope this is not too confused of an explanation.nondisclosed_email@example.com (mtb7)Thu, 06 Aug 2015 18:34:44 +0000 Re: Smoke Riffhttps://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p492232,from=rss#post492232https://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p492232,from=rss#post492232Ah excellent, thank you. I'm actually amazed that my (non-musical) ears picked that out. I was hesitant to ask the question because I was sure I would be wrong.nondisclosed_email@example.com (David Meadows)Thu, 06 Aug 2015 15:20:36 +0000 Re: Smoke Riffhttps://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p492231,from=rss#post492231https://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p492231,from=rss#post492231The tab in that image file is correct, but the staff notation is missing a flat.nondisclosed_email@example.com (Big J)Thu, 06 Aug 2015 14:59:23 +0000 Re: Smoke Riffhttps://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p492230,from=rss#post492230https://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p492230,from=rss#post492230Yes, you're right. It should be :- G Bb C G Bb Db C G Bb C Bb G nondisclosed_email@example.com (Big J)Thu, 06 Aug 2015 14:42:39 +0000 Smoke Riffhttps://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p492229,from=rss#post492229https://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p492229,from=rss#post492229This is a really basic question, but is this right: G Bb C G Bb Db C G Bb C B G ? That's what I found here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Smoke_on_the_Water_riff.jpg but when I try to play it (only the top line), the last B sounds wrong to me. Should it be a B flat instead of a B? p.s. I'm playing it on a piano, so don't try to explain it in guitar tab nondisclosed_email@example.com (David Meadows)Thu, 06 Aug 2015 12:49:21 +0000
