Agreed.
Also for me. By far the best number on 1987. The new remixed version on The blues album is maybe even better than the original. I remember reading that it was John Kalodner's idea to leave it off the original album. What a mistake!

Must agreed re coverdale voice, was listening to 1987 in close detail recently, the vocals are off the scale awesome, even on the weaker tracks. that line in Children of the night, 'Don't run for cover'.....nuclear powered indeed!
The 30th year anniversary edition 'Evolutions' versions are fascinating listening, particularly Still of the night, where in the middle, Sykes does some long solos over a faster tempo rather than the atmospheric/keyboard section with the vocals.
