Re: Glorious Chaos
DTB referenced an article in Record Collector as the source. It's taken from an interview with Ian Paice. The quote is as follows;
Q? Is there anything else on the cards?
IP: "We've done a Purple writing session for Glorious Chaos and 50% has a chance. So we've a focus for the next writing session, aiming for the album in summer 2015."
He also says, of the sunflower jam, that DC couldn't make it as he "was in the studio" and "Ritchie was invited but decided to do things his own way. He'd have been more than welcome, but we did it our way, and he made his feelings known. That's fine. There's no detriment. He's always found his own route to do things, and if he was comfortable with that, then there's nothing more to be said"

Re: Glorious Chaos
Thanks. Then he definitely referred to GC as the title. Cool.

Re: Glorious Chaos
The band is less chaotic than in Blackmore age, so I'm surprised about such a title. However, in case the new songs justify it ...

Re: Glorious Chaos
It's a great title!
If they want an album out by Summer, they'll have to hit the studio in the Jan/Feb timeline, as they all seem to have dates in March and April. Given the 5-6 month turnaround time (between recording and release) for NW, that would seem to fit.

Re: Glorious Chaos
LOVE the title I hope they keep it. Also releasing a title now creates a buzz about the new album!

Re: Glorious Chaos
It would need more than a title to create a buzz about a MK Morse album for me.Glorious Chaos ? its a long long long long time since DP created that!!!Weve just had Now What? so what about Who Cares? or Why Bother?

Re: Glorious Chaos
It's interesting that many of you guys kind of see the title as a reference to the band. I started thinking about it, and maybe DP have exceptionally many album titles that can be seen as references to the band itself (sodp, dp, in rock, wdwtwa, cttb, ps, s&m, tbro, purp, abo, rotd, maybe even bananas).
