Re: Doug Aldrich leaves Whitesnake
Is the new studio in Reno, and not up in Tahoe?
I would assume DC wanted Doug full time in the Tahoe area?

Re: Doug Aldrich leaves Whitesnake
Yeah, they decided to build in Reno for whatever reason...maybe because its more easily accessible? Tahoe can be a !@#$ to get to, especially in winter months.

Doug Aldrich = total class guy!! Like him even more after reading this!!! Respect the hell out of him!
FWIW I happen to think he's one of the best guitarists Whitesnake has had..

Re: Doug Aldrich leaves Whitesnake
That's all in the Mitch Lafon podcast. Good interview. You have to think that doing covers was a factor too. No money involved doing them, like their was with writing and producing GTBB and Forevermore. His house gig is a cushy deal and doesn't have to go on the road.

Re: Doug Aldrich leaves Whitesnake
His new band Revolution Saints is only a project from Frontiers. Most songs are written by the producer. So there is no money involved either playing them.
I think RS has more to offer than the last 2 WS albums.
DA playing is more versatile.
It's a shame Blades and Aldrich didn't write songs for this album.
It sounds a lot like Journey and I think it's wrong that Schon and Pineda have to play on it.
This could have been much better than it is now, although I think there are some great tracks on it.

Can't tell if you're being sarcastic, but WS has been quite busy. They released The Purple Album, made a world tour and wrote and recorded a brand new album and are about to go on tour again.
Doug's been busy with Dead Daisies and Revolution Saints. It's been great to have all those bands and releases to look forward.
