Re: Doug Aldrich leaves Whitesnake
That's what he said. He's probably accumulated lots of instruments over the years.

Re: Doug Aldrich leaves Whitesnake
With Reb leaving Tahoe only now, release date will likely be mid summer?
I just hope it will be something special and not merely current WS doing new takes on old DP/WS etc stuff.
That would be totally pointless.
There must be some special guests onboard in that case? Blackmore on a song maybe? With him possibly guesting at select shows? I don't see him getting up onstage with WS though, but from a marketing perspective it makes sense.

Re: Doug Aldrich leaves Whitesnake
Well, for the sake of speculation, let's rack up some stuff:
Reports of contact between DC and RB.
DA leaves WS on someone's initiation.
WS is going to release an album.
JLT says there are negotiations for a Rainbow reunion.
DC tweets purple holiday pictures.
CN tweets BN will make a record.
DC dusts of an old bass from the DP days.
JLT's solo dates announced.
WS announces a tour of which one date is given.
-> RB has guested on the WS album? He and possibly GH to guest at some WS shows?

True. If people enjoy those albums fine, but to me they are a total waste of money and I will not listen to them or ever buy them.

Re: Doug Aldrich leaves Whitesnake
I dunno......could just be DC hyping everything up. most likely scenario i'd still say is a new WS record perhaps with a bonus disc of re recorded material. other than some form of mk3 reunion I can't see RB working with DC, there was talk of this some time ago but I sense things have moved on and they, wisely in my view, decided against it. I wouldn’t be surprised if GH/DC approached Paice to gauge interest.
ps jeez, this must be one of the longest threads ever....54 and counting !

Re: Doug Aldrich leaves Whitesnake
I will also add, to me Reb is completely wrong for WS...great player, nice guy but not heard anything worthwhile from him in WS. even Vai was a better fit....
