Re: Chasing Shadows
I read it twice thinking the same thing...I don't know if this is just an excerpt or the whole thing...its very 'unfinished'.

Re: Chasing Shadows
I read the whole thing, but I don't see much point in the book itself. Did the author really want to trace Evans down ? Maybe yes, but it seems he was not able to pull all the strings or had not enough will to do so. Very strange bit about conversation with Nick Simper and author's "turmoils" before asking him a question about Rod. What was he afraid of? That Nick will smash him with his bass guitar? I'd asked him the same question, to which he just laughed and said that he had no idea about Rod's whereabouts since 1980. So hardly a dramatic situation (as it was described).
What about contacting e.g. Ian Hansford, who several years back apparently had a phone conversation with Evans (provided that it WAS Rod, and not some "merry prankster").
Next - when the author ventured a trip to Slough, he backed away before he managed to check anything. Indeed, a strange approach, so I don't seem to find any point in this book other than author's self indulgence and letting the steam out of the "fanboys" troubled mind... But maybe THAT was the point?...

Yes, I remember this person, but as much as I remember, he/she claimed to trace down... Rod Evans' son, even showing a picture of some long haired boy.
But I really doubt if his story is true (and I had mentioned this here)... He said that he found "Rod" somewhere in California - but can we really be sure that the real Rod had not moved, in the meantime, e.g. to Colorado. The Evans story is slowly turning into a Loch Ness monster myth.

Re: Chasing Shadows
I'm pretty sure I saw Rod Evans working at the Burger King in the town next to mine. Maybe I should write a book. A whopper with cheese sounds good right now
