1975 Saarbrücken and Graz

We can read in "Ritchie, Ronnie and related" a discussion of some more releases of tapes that were recorded live in Germany 1976. The complete sets of Cologne, Düsseldorf and Nürnberg were released a few years ago. The shows were recorded for the "On stage" album.

But what about the 2nd and 3rd last show of Mark3 in Saarbrücken and Graz? Can we hope that these shows will be available?

Bernie, during the last few years comments about releasing those gigs have been for and against. I'm afraid the latter is far more likely. Simon Robinson/DPAS has said one major problem is that the band is not for archive releases, a fact which has often delayed even projects which have gotten an initial green light. These particular recordings feature one member of the current band.

Maybe if we start bombarding them (actually, who?) with letters, who knows a 40th anniversary release for spring 2015?

IMO, apart from the reunion stuff of 1984-5, those Mk3 gigs are the most important material in the vaults.

My suggestion: the reunion stuff out in 2014, the Mk3 last tour stuff in 2015. Yes, sounds like a lot of time but at least there's time to do it all without haste.

Here's a question about "Made in Europe". Is Jon's intro to YFNO edited? It sounds much shorter than on any other version. Thanks!

On MIE YFNO is a mix between two shows, so it's definitely edited ! I don't know exactly about the intro though...

That's my impression, too. That was the 1970s, not every show was bootlegged.

I remember approx. 10 years ago somebody posting here that he recorded the shows in Cologne and even Dortmund 1975 in very good quality. The Dortmund tape must be extremly rare. A user tried to contact him via pm but didn't receive an answer unfortunately.
