Re: Some questions about moving threads
Wott, if anything, you're unbelieveable!
Go to any other forum and you'll see that threads get moved all the time, and often after the suggestion from a fellow poster. Usually the thread opener doesen't react to it at all. I've in fact never seen it, except for you who, as always, go completely bonkers. It's you against the rest, eh?

Some of my threads have been moved in the past without any complaint from me too. But more recently, it seems, I have become a constant target from the 'moving thread' forum lobby and, frankly, it's just getting on my nerves, particularly when there are other threads that are left alone, even when they too aren't strictly in the right place. As it is, i don't care where they are; and nor should you care where mine are. Why don't you just care about where yours are?
There is no way that Child In Mime was wrongly located in the DP forum and, frankly, the vast majority on here didn't give a hoot where it was placed. So why should you care?
As I mentioned before, perhaps the answer would be to have fewer, more generalist music related categories, instead of single artist sites. It might encourage readers to explore other music they wouldn't normally find out about too. I just can't be bothered to keep scrolling down to individual artist sites and that's why I don't visit all of them.

Re: Some questions about moving threads
Well, the main thing is that the moderator didn't see it your way. He moved your CiM thread to the Coverdale section because he felt it belonged there, and that's what counts. Why keep discussing it, and why keep "harrasing" the moderators decision? They'll have the last word, like it or not.

Well it didn't belong there and he shouldn't have moved it. It was a dual topic thread, with DP relevance. It was moved because he wanted to appease the trolls that spoilt it. That is what annoyed me. He adheres rules when it applies to me; but appears to ignore other rule breakers who do far worse things.

Re: Some questions about moving threads
You're thread was mainly about miming, at least that's how I understood it, and Gillan doesen't mime. Coverdale do according to JLT, and that was mainly what got discussed. That's why the moderator moved it as far as I can understand. Ftr, I didn't say anything about your post, and I couldn't care less if it got moved or not. IMO your post had some relevance to the Deep Purple section and might as well have stayed there, but since a poster asked "doesen't this thread belong in the Coverdale section" and the moderator agreed (since mainly it was Coverdale that got discussed)...well, so what? What's the big deal? And what other posts of yours has been moved earlier?? I can't think of none. It happens from time to time.
Another thing. You mention the Dawk discussion. Now, you're the one that keeps saying "why open my threads if they doesen't interest you". I can say the same. Why open the Dawk threads if they're not of any interest to you? My guess is you're "no better" than any of us, but there's one more thing. You don't know much about what happend before or under the Dawk discussion. Just because I bought a device that the Dawk fans didn't approve of (I didn't even know about Dawk then) they started to follow me around at gear forums and telling other board members I was just a liar because I said I liked the device. And that was just one small piece of the whole thing...

I don't open them. I don't comment on them to spoil them like you do to my threads you don't like.

Re: Some questions about moving threads
I didn't spoil your Child In Mime thread. I could see it was going of the rails very fast, and that's why I posted the cat vid. It had no relevance to the thread, almost like your cat vids fx under the Blackmore section. It was "just for fun gettin back at you". Nothing more.
