Re: Sonderborg 2010

The Beach Boys played in Karlstad, where I live during the weekend. Only 2500 showed up despite BB being supported by the most popular lokal band ever.
The organisers needed 4000 to break even...
Concerts in the middle of the holidays is always tricky.

The most legendary and prestigious of all swedish festivals ever went bankrupt last weekend. Hultsfreds festivalen.

I think it was in Sandefjord, I'm sure of the figure though. Ask our norwegian friends.

There is one well known motorsport show who have cancelled here in Sweden too, something is going on. People are weary or there is just to much going on at the same time.

The media seems to be eager for an economical
crisis in Europe, with big scares in the papers every day.

One song differs. Wouldn't call that a different set.

Yeah, it was all much better in the 70s and 80s, especially with Blackmore in the band. He was well known to be eager to change the set list on a daily basis. After the reunion in 84 he did his best to stay away from the Made In Japan set list, and when the band fell into the old routine he stood up and protested. Loudly!

Point is, they didn't change the set list that much 20-30 years ago, but we didn't have the internet to check out the set lists.

At least Blackmore was playing his own songs and not a tribute act Dick Purple is doing today, you drunk Finnish bum. You are a disgrace and shouldnt call yourself a Blackmore fan. You are in fact a vaginal discharge.

A fan who is following the band on a tourleg from day to day don't need the internet for checking out a setlist. In the old days there was jamming, spontaneity and fire.
Nowadays all is the same. The solos, a tired Paicy and so on. Oh, one thing differs. One hopes to catch Gillan's voice in good shape.

Did somebody here got the idea that this and the constantly touring could be reasons for less ticket sales?
