UK Dates in 2010?

Isn't it about time this part of the forum stopped saying 2008 Tours, Tourdates & Reviews? emoticon

Anyway, has anyone analysed the summer tour calendar?

Switzerland on June 9th
Belfast on June 28th

Nothing inbetween these two dates.

Looks like a good place for a UK tour to fit in.

Except that any new album won't be released by then and we'll end up with a tour similar to that in 2003, which seemed to be a few shows just for the sake of them (although Skynyrd were excellent)

There's nothing at the beginning of October, which would then lead into the Poland dates. In fact there are three weeks in which to fit in a decent UK tour

So you'd be expecting them to tour for 11 weeks without a break? I think you'll find there'll be a break between those two dates, as they'll already have done over 6 weeks and if you look back that is about the norm.

I thought that would be a short stretch by their standards! But I'll defer to your greater knowledge of tour history.

Still, that would tend to rule out the October gap for the same reason. So no UK shows this year? Or maybe a festival or special event squeezed in like 2008?

Actually a one-off gig playing half the new album in a small venue, like the Astoria in 2006, would make me happy emoticon

How many dates are there on there? 40-50?

Wish I could work 50 days a year and get their kind of money!

...and yes, LS were superb in '03. Can't believe it was that long ago!

I keep getting told that Purple will be Special Guests to Aerosmith on the Sunday night of Download (13th June)

Technically and pedantically Belfast is the UK.

Don't care about UK dates any more, but thrilled that they're coming to HK for the first time since I moved here emoticon.

It is, however, a little unfortunate that they're playing in HK on the night after we're attending a christening in York, so I may find myself going to the show directly from HK airport emoticon.

PS - we're not flying BA, so should arrive in time emoticon.

Maybe one day, but I suspect they'll have retired before I need to emoticon.
