Bradford has done an admirable job and it would be interesting to see him trying to continue it but there are many other people that could also bring stuff to the table (and I am not just talking about the usual Bob Rocks etc., these are overrated formula producers and Purple is better off going for a more off-the-wall choice such as Bradford). As long as there's another album of similar quality to Bananas I won't be complaining!nondisclosed_email@example.com (Christos Gatzidis)Sun, 09 Nov 2003 16:38:37 +0000 Re: More Bradford anyone?https://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p22170,from=rss#post22170https://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p22170,from=rss#post22170As long as there will be a follow-up to BANANAS don't care much who the producer is, I mean a producer is very important, but I'm just be happy if there will be an 18th album. DP is lucky to have an outside producer, but if they can have their way, I guess it's good work with other producer also other than Mike Bradford. nondisclosed_email@example.com (Randys)Sun, 09 Nov 2003 11:19:07 +0000 Re: More Bradford anyone?https://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p22169,from=rss#post22169https://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p22169,from=rss#post22169Yes. Martin was just as lucky to be a part of the summit of the music industry's history as the band was. The summit was 1972,taking in more sales than any year in music before or since. Purple were lucky to be a part of that. It was probably the most important era in rock music ever. Aside;does anyone notice that Martin Birch and Michael Bradford have the same initials? nondisclosed_email@example.com (FatLarryandhiscar)Sun, 19 Oct 2003 23:24:50 +0000 Re: More Bradford anyone?https://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p22167,from=rss#post22167https://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p22167,from=rss#post22167No, bring back Martin Birch. Purple was most successful with his help. nondisclosed_email@example.com (JohninNJ4you)Sun, 19 Oct 2003 21:58:09 +0000 Re: More Bradford anyone?https://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p22166,from=rss#post22166https://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p22166,from=rss#post22166Now I gotta have a beer.nondisclosed_email@example.com (doggone)Sun, 19 Oct 2003 20:25:30 +0000 Re: More Bradford anyone?https://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p22165,from=rss#post22165https://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p22165,from=rss#post22165Yes- More Bradford. Even if it worked and he was good I'm sure you would find a way to knock him. I really don't think you are capable of obsorbing much without Ritchie. Funny thought, what if you were in the band? I'm sure it would go like what Satriani once said, It's hard to see myself in this band I keep looking around for Ritchie. So what place would you have in a band that is missing the only member that you think ever belonged there in the first place. I don't think you would fit in with a bunch of old guy's that you see as some sort of backing band for Ritchie and since that's what you think then why bother buying into them at all? Oh I see they only suck because Ritchie doesn't play with them anymore. Gillan only suck's cause Ritchie say's so. It seem's that you go along with Ritchie's opinion, just because he say's something doesn't mean it's the gospel.   nondisclosed_email@example.com (FatLarryandhiscar)Sun, 19 Oct 2003 19:31:17 +0000 Re: More Bradford anyone?https://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p22163,from=rss#post22163https://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p22163,from=rss#post22163quote:difficulttocure wrote: Steve Morse's great BLackmore-ish solo in SGD was because Bradford told him to stretch the notes more. so i'd say the wisp, glover and Bradford should work togheter to create the perfect album!! Another outside producer (as long as it ain't some overrated formula heavy metal guy like Bob Rock) would be fine by me too, anything to keep Roger from producing again. nondisclosed_email@example.com (Christos Gatzidis)Fri, 17 Oct 2003 16:29:12 +0000 Re: More Bradford anyone?https://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p22161,from=rss#post22161https://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p22161,from=rss#post22161quote:difficulttocure wrote: Steve Morse's great BLackmore-ish solo in SGD was because Bradford told him to stretch the notes more. so i'd say the wisp, glover and Bradford should work togheter to create the perfect album!!
