BTN is here from time to time. It's quite obvious who he is, to me and probably to the "longtimers" here anyway, but I wont tell  It's no big deal anyway.
On the topic, I see no reason why the banned users shouldn't be given another chance...or two...or three! Even if some of them could be quite annoying, they were a big part in keeping this place alive. It's become like a "ghosttown", and I don't think the only reason is that there ain't a new Purple record out.

Some users seem to be banned for no reason.  At least I didnt detect anything ˙˙bannable˙˙. The forum could use a bit of, more ˙˙energysed˙˙ disscusions, sure. But alot of forums seem to be running slow these days. We just have too much on our hands to post all the time I guess.

I can see where you're coming from. The livliest posters and most clicked-through threads are often those with a strongest presence of annoying or troublesome members. Posters are sometimes be a bit hypocritical about this too - claiming they don't like what's going on and asking the mods to ban them - but they can't wait to look up the next keyboard fisticuff instalments.
Personally, I'm all for a bit of laughter and banter as long is it doesn't cross the line into harassment and bullying on line or off.

As fr as freedom of speach goes, the net is open to anyone. This place, however, is still meant to be a place to discuss Deep Purple.
If there is anything left to discuss, of course. I think there is, though. Most discussions I've read and/or participated in
has not been about new material, but mostly about old atuff and how it stands the test of time. That's a topic that has yet to run out on date.
