Why do you have to go through his management can you not just talk to the guy himself or are you not close enough to him as that? Have you not kept in contact since Rainbow?
I think in the interests of politeness we should allow DW, should he choose, the privilege of answering the question without our speculations/guesses/whatnots.
Thanks for that MrEd45 personally I thought I had asked a reasonable question its funny how people who have never met or know TMIB personally seem to know all the personal details of his lifestyle and know how he operates(sometimes you have to try and seperate the truth from the myth/legend) personally I would rather hear the information(should he wish to answer the question) from someone who does know the man

Doogie already explained that Ritchie was completely isolated by his management-in-law.
Did he? sorry must have missed that when?

I think it was on the Rainbow FanClan website . Somwhere in the "Quotes" section... and maybe on this forum too.
Edit: that's it: Quotes Archives, p. 7

I fully understand your point MrEd. And I do apologize to Doogie and to the Forum members if my post gave the impression I felt entitled to speak for him. I have true respect for Doogie White, especially with regard to the respect and the friendship he shows towards his fans. Moreover, he's a damn good singer.
I just wanted to point out the opinion he expressed about BN's management.
Now, that being said, if we want to get rid of speculations, guessings, whatnots and other free flying opinions, let's be prepared to close this forum once for good!

Re: Doogie White solo album
Just had look at the quotes mentioned. I think maybe a 2 grader translated the original interview. Or maybe one of those old online translation devices. "Fairy Tales" I believe would have been "Urban myth" I suppose to a machine it is the same thing. Out of context...No just badly translated and edited.
I have not to my knowledge expressed an opinion on BN's management. I am sure there will be someone on here who will correct me otherwise of course.
Management is most cases is there to protect the artist from such requests therefore the artist can refuse without actually refusing if thats not confusing. To be a buffer between the artist and the musicians. That why they have PA's on tour so they can have there wishes carried out without confrontation. This is a general overview and is not specific to any one artist or artists in particular.
Now I must get back to my fun filled Saturday installing the new washing machine and dishwasher. Ah the glamour...

Good - I thought the point was pretty clearly stated on my part.

No apology to me is necessary as far as I'm concerned, Al - but I'll accept said apology anyway...in the interests of politeness.

I believe DW addressed that in one of his subsequent posts.

Nah, (speaking entirly for myself) I don't believe it's anyone's intent to, and I quote, "Get rid of speculations, guessings, whatnots and other free flying opinions". Just that we try & limit them 'til the person a question is directly asked of has a reasonable (and again, speaking entirely for myself, I think up to 2 or 3 days is 'reasonable') time to reply before we come forward with our own speculations, guessings, whatnots and other free flying opinions.

Re: Doogie White solo album
Dougie's last post reminded me of him. I believe it's been at least 6 months since I was listening to Cornerstone. Well, anyway, cheers and here's to your plans for the solo album, Douglas! You're one of the last true gentlemen of rock 'n' roll. And if you're gonna get Mr Blackmore to play on your album - you're the man! :]
