I am hoping to do the next album and tour, we have talked about it. But as with everything in this crazee world of Rock n roll we will just have to wait and see. It ROCKS!!! I absolutely love it. Vocals: like Dio, but better! Doogie, you must be very proud of that album. Can't stop playing it, pure class. This is the album that should have followed the LLRnR album. Order of Rainbow albums:- 1. Rising - 9.5 (half a mark deducted for DYCYE) 2. Stranger In Us All - 9.25 (pushing Rising all the way) 3. LLRnR - 8 4. RB's R - 6.5 5. The rest - way behind I now have Human Stain, Two Tales Of One Tomorrow and Chasing Shadows but I can't get to hear them yet cos I can't stop playing SIUA at full blast. It absolutely rocks. Especially 'Too Late For Tears' - a masterpiece which gets repeated a couple of times each time I play the album. The neighbours must be into Rainbow as well cos the rest of the street hasn't asked me to turn it down yet. Any plans to reform Rainbow? Cheers.nondisclosed_email@example.com (Purplerock)Fri, 08 Feb 2008 20:34:12 +0000 Re: Doogie Gig in Romehttps://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p411960,from=rss#post411960https://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p411960,from=rss#post411960I still don't like Hunting Humans (Insatiable), or Cold Hearted Woman. I don't listen to those. Stand and Fight is good but it drags out too long at the end. Silence is a great song but it has a weird synth sound with it at the beginning. Wolf to the Moon is a good song but it isn't the best opening track. I believe you should open an album with the strongest track, so: Here's how I listen to the album Black Masquerade Emotional Crime (bonus track) Too Late for Tears Ariel Wolf to the Moon Silence Still I'm Sad Hall of the Mountain King Stand and Fightnondisclosed_email@example.com (JohninNJ4you)Fri, 08 Feb 2008 18:15:18 +0000 Re: Doogie Gig in Romehttps://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p411859,from=rss#post411859https://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p411859,from=rss#post411859quote:JohninNJ4you wrote: Yeah, I have been listening to SIUA a lot lately, and the only thing I do is switch the play list around. It's much better than I originally thought, but my car stereo is much better now too.   Good to know it isnt just me then. It sounds completely different from the album I thought I heard. Its certainly up there with the Dio era and its natural successor. This is real Rainbow, not the poppy pap of the eighties. My ears must have gone on holiday when I first heard the album. On the strength of this I've ordered some Cornerstone and Empire stuff. nondisclosed_email@example.com (Purplerock)Wed, 06 Feb 2008 20:24:02 +0000 Re: Doogie Gig in Romehttps://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p411838,from=rss#post411838https://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p411838,from=rss#post411838doogie you are FANTASTIC singer, and SIUA is a great LP... a fan from greece....you must come in thessaloniki....nondisclosed_email@example.com (paok81)Tue, 05 Feb 2008 22:41:34 +0000 Re: Doogie Gig in Romehttps://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p411813,from=rss#post411813https://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p411813,from=rss#post411813quote:stratbatblue wrote: quote:KillerBananas wrote: SIUA was the best Rainbow effort since LLRR! I can't believe Blackmore willingly gave up Rainbow for the crap he's doing today! He's indeed a weird man... Right right you're bloody well right   It's ironic hard/heavy rock was very unpopular in mid-1990s. The band should have reunited in early/mid 2000s when the genre became popular again. Reminds me of Dio-Rainbow's faith. RB went pop as heavy rock became popular...nondisclosed_email@example.com (Rezi)Tue, 05 Feb 2008 08:08:07 +0000 Re: Doogie Gig in Romehttps://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p411807,from=rss#post411807https://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p411807,from=rss#post411807quote:KillerBananas wrote: SIUA was the best Rainbow effort since LLRR! Isn't there may be something planned for later in the year already? Good luck with your trip MrsSnap. Having filed away my copy of SIUA after a few listens a few years ago, with the impression that it wasn't that good. I only recently dug it out again, only to uncover a hidden gem! I don't know what I thought I heard first time round, but it is absolutely superb. I will have to get some Cornerstone and Empire stuff sometime. And if you do go to Rome, watch out if you travel on their underground rail system. Its rampant with pick-pocket gangs, so be careful if you are carrying anything valuable!nondisclosed_email@example.com (Purplerock)Sat, 02 Feb 2008 21:39:58 +0000 Re: Doogie Gig in Romehttps://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p411612,from=rss#post411612https://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p411612,from=rss#post411612I know this is off topic, but are you still working with Yngwie? nondisclosed_email@example.com (JohninNJ4you)Thu, 31 Jan 2008 18:04:40 +0000 Re: Doogie Gig in Romehttps://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p411582,from=rss#post411582https://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p411582,from=rss#post411582quote:Al Erikson wrote: quote:MrsSnap wrote: Dear Doogie, I guess you know well that we like to see you again (best would be with Cornerstone) and want to try to make it possible. Short notice I know and mid week but if you happen to be around pop along and see what is cookin. Due to the unparalled response for the acoustic set in Glasgow my website will be down for a day or two (bandwidth issues they say) but will be back with news and new pix. The myspace site already has some, oh and the door stops are doing well. PLG DTWnondisclosed_email@example.com (DouglasT)Wed, 30 Jan 2008 18:38:28 +0000
