Re: Live In Stuttgart 1993 - revisited
Listening to it right now (for the umpteenth time) and hands down this is my absolute favorite DP live album (by any of the Mk's) after Made In Japan. I can't imagine how there can be better shows from this tour (I know there are from reading other threads in this forum) but those need to come out as well (officially). I have the "Trousers" show and that's great but I don't think it stands up to this one.

It's a matter of taste of course. My favourite of the tour is Paris, but I can't really criticize the Stuttgart show anyway! The solo of Anya is, IMO, even better than on Stuttgart. I'd love to hear this show in pro quality... The Paris show (Battle-Cries) exists as a decent audience recording. Of course, the one I listen to most is Stuttgart. A stunning recording of a stunning gig.
The Oslo show is a great one, too, as is the last one in Helsinki.
A weird one is Milan. There's a soundboard recording of it known as Lost Milan Tapes. Gillan is not only very high in the mix but completely lost with lyrics of the new songs. I think it's from these early shows where Blackmore got the claim to say Gillan didn't know the lyrics, or that he didn't sing like for two songs and didn't give a !@#$.
Another amusing one is Bruxelles (I think), where Gillan first sings over Blackmore's guitar solo, and the latter returns the compliment by playing loudly, and deliberately in wrong time, over Gillan's audience bit in SOTW. You have to hear it when he moves on to the bass pedals, playing deliberatly wrong, out of key chords. It sounds... crackking! And the audience never misses a beat! You can hear Gillan say, "that's very nice" in a disappointed voice to Blackmore.
All these show are on YouTube I recall.

Hahaha, just thinking about the Brussels show is cracking me up
I know there's YouTube footage of SKOW from Milan...I understand why they dropped it. The band were on. Gillan wasn't. Or at least I thought he wasn't.

Hey Rezi, Battle Cries is great but there is also a soundboard recording of the Paris show. It just omits the encores, taken from the audience tape. Great gig with a delicious blues before Lazy, longer than usual!

Thanks, Fdr!
You guys know this rehearsal video? It's really cool (save for the track suits):

Rezi
I know Brussels is in complete shape to watch om YT but still I do not remember if they they did what you said all those years ago.
I do recall being in front of the stage in Rotterdam, probably later than Brussels?, and seeing them do this , I think during SPEED KING?
