Certainly not under the Deep Purple banner. Satriani is a real good guitarist, but I don't see the purpose of replacing a good shredder by another good shredder. If you think that Morse doesn't fit Purple (*Yawn*, not my case), there's no point in having Satriani back.

Totally and absolutely NO!! Satch is a brilliant technician like Morse but Steve does at least play with some feel where with Satch you could almost put up a giant digital display on the stage showing how many notes per second we are hearing

I completly agree with this. Only the Satch,JLT & Mk 1 versions of DP are not represented by official live releases, & although I could live without S&M era Purple live, it would be only fair to "complete the set" as it were
