Live in Paris, 1985. Stunning!
Yes! I just watched this show from the Perfect Strangers tour. The sound and picture quality is of course not 100 per cent.
But... Blackmore, Lord and Paice are on fire! Glover is anonymous, and Gillan's voice is shot, though.
The only live version of Under the Gun I've ever heard is on this show. Man, how it rocked. And Gillan thanked Blackmore for his great solo after that song. Five songs from Perfect Strangers and no Child in Time. Lots of slide guitar from RB and some cool stuff from The Lord.

Great Show!. IG had Bronchitis, but the rest of the band more than make up for this. Lord's solo in DTC and Space Truckin are awesome!!! Blackmore is firing on all cylinders, and appears to be having fun!! This should have been an official release a long time ago. I believe Gypsies Kiss was used on the New, Live, and Rare realese a few years ago.

It's a great show all right!
It was the first DP live show I ever saw (was broadcast across Europe 'live' - inc- the bloke's head in the intro of SOTW) back in the summer of 1985 and I've been a diehard fan ever since.
I remember RB saying how huge Gillan's voice was back then, and you can tell it from this show, too: despite his condition, at times you hear the sheer power.

Indeed, indeed. Although I don't think I have the whole show

Re: Live in Paris, 1985. Stunning!
Sorry, but I have to disagree with you all. I don't think that the Paris show is great.
First of all, the sound is terrible (TV company's fault). Second, both Blackmore' and Lord' sound in the mid-eighties was about the worst they've ever had, Gillan's voice is shot during this show (and a few others on the PS tour) and Paice's drumming is non-impressive (did he take sleeeping pills up until the early ninties?). I also think that Blackmore's playing was way below his standard in the mid-eighties. The reason for that may be that he tried to be as flashy as Malmsteen and the likes. Blackmore got insecure when those guys popped up, and for a few years he tried to be like them before he realised that he is brilliant at being himself. In fact, he is better than any of those fast scale players when he plays with his soul, and not just with his "rubber fingers".
Other than that, great show

Don't be so hard on Malmsteen, I know you hate the widdle, but he does a ghost widdle that would drop your jaw, and you should hear it just for the sake of discovering a technique you have never witnessed, like him or not.
Agree about Paris, the single worst full live pro shot appearance example on film of DP.

This is a good thing, thank you.
I have to respect that, seriously.

Yes indeed a great show. RB does some great slide guitar on 'Knocking at your backdoor', in fact I think personally it's the best slide I've seen him do and also a great guitar solo in there too.
Agreed the sound quality is shot, the TV station could have done better . . . if it was their fault
