Ritchie's guitar sound on Perfect Strangers et al is dreadful, I wasn't very impressed with that album at all. I prefer the clarity and fludity of Morses' sound over that. But the classic Ritchie sound is better still. Boing.

A real rock'n'roll-guitarplayer just needs a marshall-amp and his strat. Forget the rest, it's just for the whimps! emoticon

Yeh Hendrix was weak with his wah pedal, and let's not forget Clapton's fuzz pedal;-)

Hendrix was weak at nothing(.)
Accept for the fact that he became a product of his environment,it pisses me off when someone of great talent let's it all go to waste like that. emoticon

Er...I'd like to compare Blacker clean sound and Morse clean sound, but SM is playing so loud that I can't remember any quiet moment during a show ! (Too much buzzz in my ears )
To answer, I prefer Blacker 90's sound to Morse but Ritchie's 85 to 88 sound is not memorable

Ritchies biggest secret is being Ritchie himself,
his ability to somehow be at one with the instrument is
a huge commanding presance.
That's how he makes it look so easy, style plus finesse and
command. emoticon
His sound has alot to do with his character.

There can be only one!

I did
about 28 years or so ago,but my flexability has helped me
realise that he's not the only great guitarist
that ever lived,I guess he will just have to settle for being the best. emoticon
