The only thing Ozzy, Gillan and Plant has in common is being the vocalists of the "British Hard Rock Holy Trinity". But each of them had a different style, so I think the comparison makes little sense.nondisclosed_email@example.com (Loki79)Sun, 17 Jul 2005 12:25:55 +0000 Re: Is this Rolling Stone review of Gillan's voice spot on?https://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p16694,from=rss#post16694https://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p16694,from=rss#post16694Haha, Ozzy doesn't belong in the same room as Plant or Gillan. He has always been something of a cross between the two, with a voice that's more refined and masculine than Robert Plant's grave-robbing blues squeal and capable of operatic heights. Yet Gillan's voice inhabits the outer fringes of Ozzy territory -- conflicted, beefy and evil. His solo records have traditionally covered the same ground as Deep Purple, with a couple of poorly received transgressions into Jazz Rock.nondisclosed_email@example.com (PhatSpender)Fri, 15 Jul 2005 21:08:01 +0000
