Bombay Calling audio on iTunes
I noticed on the Australian iTunes store that they are selling the "Bombay Calling" album - the eighteen tracks are selling for A$16.99, the standard single album cost.
They also have California Jam and Live in Denmark 1972 audio for the same price, but these two shows have both been released on album. To my knowledge, the Bombay show has not.
Not sure whether to buy this or not. While I'm happy to buy any album put out by Deep Purple, I'm still a bit old fashioned and want an album to have and to hold ...

Re: Bombay Calling audio on iTunes
I've been having the same problem. It says it's an official bootleg, i'm really not sure how the sound quality is.

Re: Bombay Calling audio on iTunes
The sound quality on the 'Bombay Calling' dvd is pretty good. Gillan sounds good for the most part and Morse hasn't had too much of a chance to widdle-up everything. If the sound-track is offered on cd, buy it. I don't think that you will be disappointed.

It's good, I down loaded it from i tunes shop. The DVD is great too and I always wanted an audio version.

Re: Bombay Calling audio on iTunes
My friend had a cd burner right around when Bombay Calling came out and we ripped cd's right from the audio of the dvd and it came out great! Sounded at least as good as Live At The Olympia '96.
I've actually been quite surprised by what the US iTunes has in its store (and for good prices too); picked up Stockholm '70 for $7.99. While I prefer having physical copies, I couldn't pass this up!
