Re: Best Purple Bass Line
I think that the bass line on the organ solo on Rat Bat Blue is damn good.
Others: Pictures of Home, Nobody's Home, Burn, YKOM, Stormbringer.
Another bass-driven song is of course Soon Forgotten.
An honorable mention goes to the live version(s) of Paint it Black/general mayhem and improvisation, for example the ones on the last Blackmore tour. Glover steady as a rock!

Burn
YKOM is also great, simple, but very effective.
Loosen My Strings is quite possibly my favourite RG bass line. I think Roger's been playing better since Steve joined.

Re: Best Purple Bass Line
Some of the best bass lines are on Purpendicular, especially Loosen my strings and Rosa's Cantina.

Re: Best Purple Bass Line
Now for a few of what I consider some of Nick Simper's best basswork:
"Mandrake Root"
"Wring That Neck"
"Playground"
"Chasing Shadows"
