Looking back : Powerhouse (lp)

Deep Purple "Powerhouse" 7 c 062-60072 don't
know why I get a version from Sweden.
Remember saw the lp in the local recordshop,
my heart start beat faster YES a album with
unreleased live and studio tracks from the
halcyon days of Deep Purple (MKII).
Buy lp same day never forget the feeling when
I hold "Powerhouse" in my hands, gooseflesh
I was a real Purple fan.

Powerhouse is my favourite DP compilation. Every singel track is a gem. It's hard to pick a fave among them, but if trying hard it'll have to be the Japan version of Black Night. It's totally rock'n roll circus, a five-minute powerful feedback-orgasm. Unbeatable!

It is a fantastic album; I don't know why it's so special, but it is!
Those were the first available versions of Painted Horse and Cry Free, I believe.
I have to say, it's one of my fav LP's-and by that I mean as a whole, the music, the cover and the rarety and the fact that it has not been properly re-released on cd, makes it special.
