Re: DP guitarists
There's a soundboard boot from Cologne in Feb '87 called autobahn (it says it's '88 but it isn't) and Blackers is "cleaner" than the '85 tour. There are three soundboard boots from autumn 87 and '88. "Lost Milan Tape" is from September '87 up and down performance and some tracks are edited but it's definitely worth getting. "Knock The Truckin'" is a 4 CD soundboard set of Turin 21/9/88 & Kassel 24/9/98 and they are both excellent with some clean and committed playing from Blackers & Gillan in good form. In addition there is a soundboard of the encore of Black Night and Smoke (preceded by La Bamba!) from Pforzheim Aug '87 Smoke in particular is excellent.
I've got audience recordings of Giants stadium in '87 (supported by Gun & Roses!!) where Blackers is clean but the band performance is something of a shambles. For Florence 9/9/88 and Copenhagen 27/9/88 Blackers is again clean with Copenhagen being the better of the two and includes the best reunion version of CIT i've heard - honestly it could be '72! I've got Verona from Sept 87 but for the life of me I can't remember what it's like.
Lastly I have the entire Pforzheim gig above as an audience tape and it's stonking too with Gillan in very funny form.

Re: DP guitarists
For what it's worth LITB this is my complialtion of the best versions from the soundboards I've listed above.
IMO all of these are better than the versions on Nobody's Perfect!

Highway Star – Cologne 87
Strange Kind Of Women – Milan 87
The Unwritten law – Milan 87
Dead Or Alive – Milan 87
Perfect Strangers- Kassel 88
Bad Attitude – Milan 87
Difficult To Cure & Keyboard solo- Cologne 87
Lazy & Drum solo-Turin 88
Space Truckin’-Milan 87
Women From Tokyo-Turin 88
Speed King-Turin 88

Re: DP guitarists
Well, it's a bit confusing because they played Germany in February, then elsewhere in Europe, then the USA, and in summer they came back to Europe including Germany (Nürnberg and Pforzheim). So it doesn't surprise me if there's a bit confusion about the dates.
Moreover, it's 35 years ago now ...

Re: DP guitarists
The main confusion is because the bootleg called Autobahn claims to be from Cologne 25th Sept 1988 but it's not. The set list in '88 omitted The Unwritten Law for example which is on Autobahn.

Re: DP guitarists
Doh!
I missed off;
Child In Time - Kassel '88 which is astonishing. Like a 1971 performance with an extended solo and interplay with JL!
Knockin' - Milan 87
