Re: Setlist for the Tel Aviv, Jerusalem and Istanbul

Ian G makes me laugh,after the long and dramatic build up in uncommon man, he manages to cock up the opening lines. Also in time for bedlam he makes up a whole new set of lyrics. A little annoying for the rest of the band who have rehearsed with a new guitarist. At least he didn't warble over the solo in highway star. If he was Coverdale he would get away with the wrong lyrics because he would be too low in the mix to be heard and have 5 or 6 other people singing the right words.(;

I think at age 76 Ian Gillan sounds better than Jon Bon Jovi. emoticon

And at 26'22" the first little bit of spontaneous jamming in a looong time! Super cool for Simon to try that on your first show with the greatest rock band around!

Please, notice Rog at 28'15" singing the right words to Ian to no avail!

I don't understand why the band doesn't provide a teleprompter/autocue system, it would just look like a stage floor monitor. Ozzy, Springsteen uses them, why the objection?

You remember when Ian told the story of his first gig with Black Sabbath with the lyrics on paper on the stage floor? Hilarious!
