in a part two, with a different fan doing the interview, Roger says he is to start work on a Rapture of The Deep remix. EAR wanted to do something with the album, and Rog had just been sent the master tapes

I know all about legal/contractual issues and what not, and I also know that Rapture’s mixing and mastering is amateurish at best, but are we seriously saying that we will get a new remaster of Rapture before getting a deluxe edition/remaster of Perfect Strangers?
And then we ask ourselves why DP never achieved the commercial results of LZ…

I would say line-up changes and burn out. Had MKII rested and came out with a new album in time for Cal Jam, I think that things would have been different.

When I first saw a possible new album so quick I did wonder if they were looking at covers, so wouldn't be a total surprise.

If there's a positive, it might mean that some songs from Whoosh enter the setlist and we get to see and hear them live (vs playing other band's songs).

There is no shame, I mean it's okay in covering the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, Gillan, the Kinks, the Who, Fleetwood Mac, etcetera, that would be okay in my opinion.

As for me, I don't like them doing covers of Deep Purple. I hope "And the Adderess" would be their last cover or cloning of themselves.

If they don't have enough new material, I'd rather hear an album with 3/4 new tunes and several free studio jams, rather than dull covers like Roadhouse blues.

The first tour will contain 4 new songs, that means that other Mark Morse will be dropped. After that tour 1 or maybe 2 songs will survive. So I hope that you can catch them on that one.

I actually expect Uncommon Man to be kept in setlist till the end of their touring years. That song became staple moment of the show.

Do you guys really feel they still have many tours or years of live playing and touring ahead? I strongly doubt it.

I have Glasgow and Birmingham, shows 38 & 40 for the year. I suspect that there might be 3 songs (maybe just 2 songs) from Whoosh left in the set list.

Definitely think that Birmingham (front row) might be my last ever Deep Purple concert as I can't see them touring down under again. Unless they did a 6 concert world tour, one concert on each continent.
