Amazon doesn't list Highway star as the closing number of the London 2002 show. Let's hope it's there.

It doesn't

Why in the world would they sell it as the full gig and then leave one song out? The mysteries of the world...It's on the bootleg! I know I don't need another version of HS but things like this bummer me. Think I'll stick with the bootleg.

How does Wollongong sound compared to the one from The Soundboard Series?

haven't played it yet. will comment when I do

finished side 1 of the Wollongon set.
It's been a while since I've listened to the cd, but my immediate impression is that the vinyl is definitely a step up in sound quality.

The format is one thing, but I see Martin Pullan is credited as mixer. His work is usually top notch.
Eike Freese is credited in the mastering department, and the stuff he did with Wacken / Tokyo was great imo.

I can't seem to find the credits for the 2001 cd box?

anyways - my first impression is that this is a very good sounding release for what it is; a soundboard with little or no polish on it

Would definitely recommend this for anyone who's thinking about getting it!

Re: London 2002 & Wollongong 2001

listened to the whole album yesterday

must say I was very impressed.

from memory, this new one sounds much more alive than the old cd. The latter was, as I remember it, extremely dry and had a "straigh off te board" feel.
This new release sounds more like a proper live album

I'll welcome any other shows from the 2001 box if they now sound like this!

(of course, unreleased shows are preferable emoticon )

as for Jimmy Barnes - a powerhouse indeed. no wonder they turned him down a bit emoticon
I like him a lot - and from what I understand, he's defintely a DP fan

These two LIVE albums "Wollongong 2001" and "London 2002" are both Top 10 in the German album charts!

Am I dreaming? Are we back in 1970s?
emoticon emoticon

Please, somebody wake me up! This is a live album.

btw; seems like Martin Pullan is credited as mixer/master of the 2001 release

Eirk Freese must have done substantial work on this new one, unless the old cd sounds WAY better than I remember
