HOBL is one of my favourite DP albums.

i like it. just wondering how it could have been improved upon. possibly....

Remove the drum effects from TUL and heavy up the rhythm guitars. RB to record a better solo!

Mad dog, consider a better title, remove the awful keyboard solo, otherwise it rocks!

HLW, same as MD, better title wouldn't hurt!

Strangeways, remove the guitar synth tracks, cut back the ending a bit, it goes nowhere for me.

SA, COTW, BW, MD, BA and DOA all perfect as is.

Any thoughts?

I would remove the drm effects from TUL, nothing else.

I would say that Mad Dog could have a better title, although I don't know what.

Everything else I think is great.

Re: WDWTWA, HOBL, and TBRO

I have to say that the extended ending of "Strangeways" on the original CD is, for me, one of the highlights. I agree with changing the name of "HLW" as it made people think of "Hard Lovin Man" off of IR. Also a keyboard solo would have much improved this song. "Spanish Archer" should have opened the album followed by "BA"(What a 1-2 punch) and "Strangeways" should have ended the album (IMHO)/

Yeah I love that we have the extended Strangeways in a sense, just feel it doesn't add much to the song itself.

Spanish as an opener is interesting, personally HLW might be better stil.

Black and white is a track that after 34 years I still can't decide whether I like or not, weird I know.

DOA is a perfect closer. I think that Unwritten Law would be a good opener, although BA is quite fine. The opening barrage of Blackers and Gillan on UL makes a good, fast start. I would like to have Mad Dog end side one on vinyl and DOA finish side two. Those two have the best Blackmore/Lord interplay of any reunion album and the way they light it up at the end is perfect. I would try to fix Mitzi Dupree. I don't like IG's vocal at all. Why does he sound so crappy on Mitzi and so good on DOA? When he belts it out on this album without trying to be MKIIa Gillan, he sounds real good. You can mix and match the other tunes on this album to really get a nice flow. Either way, I've always liked this album quite a lot.
