Early live versions of "The Mule"
I got an old tape from Liverpool January 1971. "The Mule" was performed very close to the original studio recording with solos from organ and guitar. Unfortunately the song is edited. A section from the middle part is missing and the audiotape's quality quite poor. It would be nice to know if other versions from early 1971 exist on any boots.

Re: Early live versions of "The Mule"
I never heard it performed live with the studio arrangement. The riff is already there in Stockhom 1970 (Scandinavian nights) and I also have a tape from '71 called "Foetus of the mule" where the riff is also played.

Re: Early live versions of "The Mule"
There are just a few rudimentary lyrics, no drum solo and an unusual ending.
