RIP Little Richard

One of the founding fathers of rock is goneemoticon. A lot of the guys in DP past and present looked up to him as he helped put rock on the map. Man what a voice!!! Still one of the best voices in rock ever!! According to Lemmy LR was the best!

America's racist bs initially prevented Little Richard from prospering - fu!cking Pat Boone doing Tuity Fruity - give me a break and he made a ton of money covering Richard - until the truth came out - hell yeah!!.

Interesting how all those early rockers were phased out after the 1950s in the US to give way to those bs love sappy songs for girl friends in the early 1960s. Little Richard, Chuck Berry, Bo Didley, Jerry Lee Lewis were all intentionally cast aside because of their "rebellious nature" lol...even Elvis was too having to go to the Korean War and than having his handlers move away from the rock scene of the mid to late 1950s...Unfortunately we had some tragedies that struck down some great talent. so early in their career - Eddie Cochran, Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens.....just watched La Bamba the other day which got me stoked on 1950s rock and listening closely to those artist and today Little Richard is goneemoticonemoticon

On a somewhat related note liking Ritchie Valens Lets Go!!

Re:

They say rock'n roll started with Rock Around The Clock. I'm not so surea about that.
It really started with Tutti Frutti. That's one song that changed the world, if any one song ever did.
