Agree. He said a few times over the last years that he feels more at home on the acoustic these days and his heart doesn't really belong to rock music anymore. At least he was so honest to say that.
I personally had a fantastic time at all the shows and don't wanna miss these great memories.

Ritchie's biggest challenge with the new Rainbow is his former self. He was a technicaly brilliant player, and those skills were integral in so many of his solos.
For various reasons, he can't cut it anymore. Some of it is beyond his control (age, illness), and some of it could have been better. (no secret that they rehearsed very little. I'm sure had RB sat down two hours each day in the months leading up to june 2016, his playing WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER) Somewhere in between there is the fact that he largely played acoustic, without a pick, for 20 years prior to 2016.
as Stefan72 said; I wouldn't want to be without the memories of 2016/2017. The atmosphere in Loreley was magic at times. I wish they would put out the whole gig as a bonus...the venue, the songs, the historical significance...
