Yes, pre web recall buying one of those monthly Metal Video magazines with this on it. Must watch later......seems they spent a fortune on those Slaves and Masters promos

Re: Behind the making of 'Love Conquers All'
I remember at the time Turner mentioning that David Lynch was involved, not sure if as a producer or director. Seems kind of strange to me.

Re:
Personally i liked the S&M period, am i alone?I thought the album was good apart from the cringeworthy JLT vocals.
The live shows were also good(apart again from JLT) and they found Blackers playing to be far superior to what it had been so far post reunion.

Both points are correct, but man I couldn't /can't get past the vocals. There is nothing wrong with JLT vocals, I just can stand them.

I can live with JLT on record (apart from his irritating habit of singing random rubbish over peoples solos). Live is a different story. Some of the bootlegs i have of him with in Purple he's awful. And don't get me started on his stage presence.

Re:
I mostly agree to that. There were good and less good live vocal performances from JLT in DP (of course the same can be said for post-reunion Gillan), but his in-between-song banter and his visual stage appearance were everything else but entertaining.

Re: Behind the making of 'Love Conquers All'
From my perspective and I remember buying the S&M and seeing them live in Philadelphia that this was very close to Turner era Rainbow. The record is okay, live Ritchie was more engaged and sounded and played better than the last 3-4 years. The biggest issue I have was JLT, his vocals were very average and just plain embarrassing on stage. I would have thought the remainder of the band would have discussed his prancing around on stage. The more things change, the more they stay the same!
