He may have no right to be but I've no doubt GH w b annoyed he wasn't invited to contribute, additionally all the reaching out DC has mentioned hasn't extended to him, on that front I think he may have reason to.

We'll have to wait until he comments on the album to see what he thinks about it.

The problem with inviting GH, is: how much should he have sing?

Just on one track? All of his parts?

It could quickly have become overwhelming (especially since we know how much of a diva he can be).

Me thinks DC, decided to do the vocals on his own, with a lil help of his friends here and there (and everywhere emoticon ).

Also, having RB on the album would have been a big selling point, and would have required a different approach (certainly not a WS release), where a Coverdale/ Hughes album wouldn't have been such a big seller, and would probably have been something DC wasn't ready to do.

Re: Glenn reaction to the Purple album...

Glenn posted a reaction on facebook when the Stormbringer video was released.

He said, "First sign of a reunion?"

I replied: Let's hope.

Anyway, I am very disappointed that David did not have Glenn's involvement on the Purple album. He could have had Michael Devin on bass and still had Glenn sing.

Maybe it will give David a chance to remix the Purple album with Glenn's vocals one day? HA ... already with the remix ideas ...

I hope David asks Glenn to at least join Whitesnake on stage like has in the past for Adrian Vandenberg and Bernie Marsden. Seems only proper with the Purple album.

I still hope David and Glenn do some sort of a collaboration one day soon.

Oh, and Coverdale has to get over his hesitation of working with Glenn again. I know about the problems in Purple and again during the Slip of the Tongue era, but those days are long gone. Not only that, I hope David is not scared of sharing a stage with Glenn again. Glenn's voice may not have been struck by the ravages of time, but David is still the "govner" on stage as Bernie Marsden stated a few years ago.

They have matured and I'd like to see what they could come up with working together. It would probably be epic. And seeing as how well received the Purple album appears to be, a future collaboration between David and Glenn probably would also be well received and would probably translate in to good sales.

I don't think David needs Hughes or even Blackmoore. They might need him. He has ,,his little band'' called Whitesnake. And it's very, very good.

Don't think Ritchie needs any of them either if truth be told he seems very happy with his lot.Glenn on the other hand seems desperate to do anything to raise his profile

It's David Coverdale's tribute to his fellow band mates under the banner of Whitesnake.

I'm sure Glenn is fine with it.

Glenn has sung on a Whitesnake album before!
