I wasn't going to get it at the time because it was so much more than the domestic version but once the guy opened it up and we a/b'd it, I couldn't believe the difference. Its beefier on the low-end without being woofy and mastered louder as well.

I always thought the regular version lacked something in the low-end rang. I'd say the same about Rainbow's SiUa, but I have the Japanese version of that one, and it doesn't really sound different from the regular.

I thought about getting the Japanese SIUA but then a friend got his before I did so I just snagged Emotional Crime just to have it. Otherwise I couldn't hear a difference between my UK pressing and his Japanese one.

I only have the U.S. Giant version and the Sony Japanese remaster, so I really can't compare to the other issues.

I've always particularly liked the Giant version. Perhaps it is my American ears doing me wrong? I thought there was a good balance between Blackmore, Gillan, Lord, and Paice on it. I will have to get the other versions now to compare. Maybe I'm missing out. Although I've heard complaints that certain European issues did not sound particularly good in comparison to the U.S. release.

Take away Lick it Up, Talk About Love and Nasty Piece of Work and this one is as good as the classic albums.

The seven track albums of the seventies.

I agree about Lick it UP and Talk About Love but Nasty Piece of Work is one of my favorite tracks. TBRO is a very good album.

LOVE Nasty Piece of Work. The only track I'm not a big fan of is One Man's Meat. It seems like a bonus track (b-side) tossed onto the end.

For me, BRO is the worst MK2 album, though I think what CG said is really great. Taken on its own, it's a great album. BRO, Anya and Solitaire are masterpieces.

Re: Solitaire, would have been a show stopper live, imagine our Lord blowing over, verse after verse, at the end. I can hear it, though of course I can't I can't. That's the way of the Lord, play something which makes perfect sense, yet no one else can quite play.
