Re: ?!
Yeah, Abandon had a good graphic concept which worked well with the title. The only thing I missed were band photos, well, at least one would do great.

Well, that is what I was afraid of. Ian's voice on Hell to Pay is weak and strained. Unfortunately. The backing vocals improve the situation, but Ian's voice on faster songs might lack the authority - that is what I fear.
On All the Time in the World - it's much better because it is his more comfortable range.
But having said that, Hell to Pay seems to be a great tune.

Re: ?!
I have listened to the new single: All the Time in the World.
A nice bluesy ballad which reminds me of Ian's One Eye to Morocco. A short but beautiful solo by Steve. I like the production. I believe it will be the best sounding Purple album.

Exactly. It also reminds me of Walk On...

Re: ?!
I suppose the new album may be similar to Bananas, with the difference that it will be better produced and it will have more progressive bits.

Bananas were a VERY good album in terms of production. Unlike ROTD, which in places sounds like a demo from the basement (partially true). So I will have nothing against new album sounding like Bananas.
Regd. new tracks - yesterday it occurred to me that vocal line in "All Time..." is quite similar to "Whatsername", yet on the whole is much more promising (although it has nothing to do with "hard rock" as such)

Re: ?!
For me the production of Bananas was average. It wasnn't as bad as ROTD, but it was far from being top class.

Re: ?!
In Glover's new diary, he names a few more titles:
Slow Burn, Pint of Heavy, It’ll Be Me, Blood From A Stone.
A few more sounds like working titles, but these I think are final titles.
Probably also 'Slo Groove' and 'Vincent'.
Read it all:
