Re: MORE MORE news on Gillans new album

I would be surprised if he covered a track from every album he has been involved with as you would need a quadruple CD or more. I think it will be more like one track from each band/artist he played with on a timeline such as:

Javelins
Episode Six
Purple
Jesus Christ
IGB
Gillan
Black Sabbath
Gillan/Glover
Repo Depo/Dreamcatcher
Purple
Pavarotti

It would be hellish difficult to try to pick only one from each period but if it is to be commercially successful then I think it has to. With the addition of guest artists, an accompanying DVD and proper promotion it might get Ian the general critical acclaim and recognition he deserves.

"One track from each album" is what I read from the review and backstage meeting.
12 to 14 tracks can fit on one CD,no need to cover Purple.

And I´m almost sure he also won´t re-record things like The Long Goodbye(although that´s one of the best songs he ever sung on) or any Black Sabbath for that matter.

Let´s see, maybe it´s a solo career only thing. Let´s not forget we don´t have more but second hand information(looking forward to the upcomming Caramba letter).
