Indeed I'd fear Blackmore coming back, the page is definitly turned and the book [sign in to see URL] [sign in to see URL] still really miss him!
Especially on stage, I miss his presence, charisma and I yhink that Morse and Lord reached a perfect symbiosis from 98 till Lord [sign in to see URL] with time, that connection with Airey will "click" too.
Nevertheless Don Airey is a fantastic musician and his work on Bananas is awesome.

Ozzy covers ? I am sorry but these guys wrote the tunes and Ozzy refuses to admit to it. In fact he went through all the trouble to "re do" the music with other musicans. These guys have the right to preform material that they are involved in.

I'm not saying they didn't write the tunes nor am I taking Ozzy's side (replacing their parts was an awful move indeed). At the same time putting out a new album rehashing/covering themselves almost twenty five years later is a bit lame you'll have to agree! How would you feel if Purple's next album included half of In Rock rerecorded with Morse/Airey?!

But they didn't write and record it.

Yes, but the rest of Purple's current line-up did, so that scenario is comparable to the Living Loud thing.

I highly doubt Living Loud will end Purple. How many people have actually heard of Living Loud?

As Purple proved last winter, they still can draw a respectable crowds. Why end it.

I wished Living Loud would do more than just Ozzy covers. I would love to have some Rainbow from "Long Live R & R", Uriah Heep, and some originals included in their sets.

Not [sign in to see URL] the current line-up re-recorded DPIR, Fireball & MH and passed them off as the real deal (and taking the originals, recorded w/Blackmore and Lord, off the market completely), THAT would be comparable to the Living Loud thing. I'll never buy anything related to Ozzy again (except for the Living Loud disc - if it's ever released in the States, that is emoticon ).
