Re: Ian Paice with Gary Moore
"The End of The World" is the first song I ever head by Gary Moore and turned me into an instant Moore fan.
So much so that I flew from S.F. to L.A. to see Gary's Still Got The Blues tour which also featured Albert Collins and Don Airey if I'm not mistaken. What a show!
I also saw Gary open for Rush on the Victims of the Future tour. Gary Moore was by far the better performer that night. Blew Rush right off the stage.

Re: Ian Paice with Gary Moore
Gary Moore also supported Whitesnake on the "Lovehunter" tour it was all "White knuckles and rock n rollin'" in those days. That night I saw them at the Odeon in Edinburgh Gary made a real hash of "Parisiene Walkways" a pity cause the rest of the night was brilliant with Paicey and Lord doing A-200(do ya'll know what it means?)and we also had the best version of Mistreated I've ever witnessed!.

It's a cream for some of the more common problems that go with the excesses of being in an RnR band, or with a dirty slut.

Pony,
where were you in 1982???
If you read closely I said it was "brief"
one or two weeks topps on the U.S. Billboard "rock charts".
Around the same time Rainbow SBTE had reached as high as the number two spot"briefly",surrounded by Van Halen,Asia and Scorpions releases at that time, all running very close to one another for months.
I'm sure someone will do the research here if they adement enough in their disagreement.
SBTEs' single, Stone Cold, broke into the top 40....this is the 'singles', not 'albums' chart...
1982 is a long time ago. I was an avid follower of charts and the magazines, but I personally dont recall Moore or Rainbow albums in the top 10.
I do recall 1982's music was much better than the !@#$ I hear when I turn on the radio today!

Note it was the 'specialist' Rock billboard chart- not sure about the Moore stuff but on the national billboard chart returns SBTE made it to number 30

Re: Ian Paice with Gary Moore
Yes Roy,I'm aware of that, notice how I wrote
"rock charts" I don't remember them calling it "specialist" but it makes sence, however it was a billboard chart and that was always good enough for me.
Please take note Roy,I tend to have some conflicting statements here and there, due to what someone here sees righfully so as "hearsay" when it comes to certain things that have been reported by the media
in the early 80's.This is because I managed a reputable record shop and hosted countless in-store visits of many rock artists at the time, what great fun it was,I had a plethora of five hour long
(some of 'em) detailed discussions with some of the biggest names in rock at the time.
Some of them were drop ins and some long visits.I felt like a journelist myself during that time, helped of couse by minoring it in college courses at the time,I didn't go to university I went to community, allowing full time employment.

Now what kind of a mega-prick would allege that you used "hearsay", Larry?!? /

Re: Ian Paice with Gary Moore
End of the World is a great song but its the one song on Corridors of Power that Paicey doesn't play on; its Bobby Chouinard, Billy Squier's original drummer.

Re: Ian Paice with Gary Moore
Exactly.
Paicey plays on:
- Corridors of Power: all tracks except "End of the World"
- Victims of the Future: 4 tracks only - Victims of the Future, Shapes of Things, Empty Rooms, Law of the Jungle
Why the heck did he only play on 4 tracks from "Victims of the Future" as he certaily was Moore's live drummer for nearly two years?
