Paice/Airey supergroup

Yet another reference to 1982 (and '83) emoticon:

Gary Moore - guitar/vocals
Ian Paice - drums
Don Airey - keyboards
Neil Murray - bass

...and, er, John Sloman on vocals...sometimes. What was Gazza thinking?

Sloman only sang half of the songs and played...ahem..."additional keyboards" when he had nothing else to do - no wonder he left. I preferred it when Gazza handled the vocals anyway emoticon.

Yes, Sloman's tenure in the band was strange - employ a lead vocalist and take most of the leads yourself? Can't say I preferred it with Gary singing though emoticon

I know many people don't like John Sloman very much, but I think he's an amazing singer!I have always liked Heep's Conquest (if only because so different from all other albums), but I also really enjoy his last release from 2003 "Dark Matter", a very deep and emotional album. You should try it!
I agree that his presence in the Gary Moore band was a bit weird...
