I have some problems too, as well do my friends, and on this forum several problems are told of. So I don't think this has anything to with you. What the problem is then? Ask me, and I will say that story goes as usual; we've exchanged LP's with CD's, and after a few years we find we'vce exchanged some problems with others. And to sound very oldish for a moment, both CD's and CD players belong in the category of modern equipment that is NOT meant to last, or be repaired. They are meant to be replaced, asap.   nondisclosed_email@example.com (Atle)Wed, 16 Jun 2004 05:10:23 +0000 "Early Years" CD-- problems with last trackhttps://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p160342,from=rss#post160342https://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p160342,from=rss#post160342I just got "Early Years" in the mail from Amazon yesterday. I'll talk about the music later, but for now, I'm having a problem with the CD. When I play the last (14th) track, "Lalena" on my DVD/CD player, the song stops at about the 4 min mark. The digital counter will freeze at the time indicated, and sit there for about 5 to 10 secs. Then it will resume playing, and maybe do this one or two more times before the song ends. The rest of the CD (tracks 1-13) play just fine. Has anyone else had this problem? Is this a problem inherent with playing audio CD's on a DVD player? I thought it might be the disc, but "Lalena" plays fine in my two other CD players. I also thought it might be that since the disc is 77 min. long (close to the 80 min. max), that the laser might be having a problem reading it that close to the end. But I put a 79 min. Clapton CD in the same player, advanced it to the final song, and it played all the way through just fine. Could I have wrecked my player by having played "homemade" (burned) CD's in there for the past year and a half? Is it generally a good idea to only play storebought ones?nondisclosed_email@example.com (B3Burner)Wed, 16 Jun 2004 04:42:43 +0000
