And The Address

I love this song.
It really rocks. Great cow bell and organ.
How come no one ever talks about it?
Has it ever been played live?

Now that one has the definitive 60s swing to it!emoticon

I think they used to open their shows with it, not entirely but with the up building intro.

One of the best tracks on the album! What an introduction to the Deep Purple story!

...also from a historical viewpoint, reputedly one of the very first tracks worked on/completed during Blackmore + Lord's very first musical meetings. And as stated, one of Deep Purple's finest instumental pieces.

And the title, is it Blackmore's reply when Lord asked him to come over and discuss founding a band?

Brilliant track, from an outstandingly fresh album. Though it must have been hard to guess at the time, I think it says a lot about what was to come from dp.

I've mentioned this song as a show opener a few times on this forum.
My only complaint is when RB takes his solo on the studio version it sounds like there's a drape in front of his amp.

Yeah, Blacker's amp actually sounds a bit homemade emoticon
