Re: Mark 1

Mark I is my second favorite lineup after Mark II.

Very underated though they did many cover versions of songs then.

Mark 1 would be my third favorite behind what would be the obvious Mark 2 and the one that had Satriani in it. emoticon

That's fine, but when you're nothing but a "kook" it doesn't sound too good emoticon

Then thank goodness I'm a trailblazer and a trendsetter, then too! emoticon

Yeah. What to do without trendsetters? I mean, when I just can't figure out what shirt to wear, it's good to have someone to ask. Or look at, discrete over my shoulder, while pretending to pick off some dust emoticon

Maybe I wouldn't be of much help to ya with the shirt thing...as far as fashion goes, my biggest "trendsetting" thing was the hairy ankles + rather over-ornate bridles, collars and other accessories old Gussie made me wear for festive occassions. emoticon I'm still thankful he never found lederhosen that'd fit me! emoticon

Sorry, my friend...these fashion items I described aren't available by sale to the general public...you gotta be a Clydesdale and be willing (or co-erced!) to haul around a heavy wagon with a fat drunken Geman/American at the reins...the gig's not all it's cracked up to be! emoticon

Ed, give me an honest review. Does Bananas have any overall qualities that make it in any way better than CTTB, WDWTWA, or HOBL. If not, I am still wondering if it is worth making any special effort to acquire. I was very disappointed in Abandon, not impressed that much with Perpendicular and so if you or Fat Larry want to review it for me I would be delighted to have some insight from the outside. emoticon

I'm not Ed....but seriously, if you don't like Abandon or Purpendicular, then you will definitely not like Bananas. I enjoy it very much....but it is not as immediately accessible as those other two albums.
