Rod Evans post-Purple 1970 single?

There is supposed to be a Rod Evans solo single in between his departure from Purple and Captain Beyond LP. Released in 1970 or so I read. Anyone has any info or better MP3 link?

No info at all, except the title. The two tracks he did were 'Hard to be without you', and 'You can't love a child like a woman'.

I've never heard them, nor do I have the foggiest about their availability.

Saw it on the tube
Bought it on the phone

I actually bought the reissue single. Even though it starts a fraction into the songs they are a great testimony of the voice of Rod Evans. I have even seen a picture of a promo single on the unofficial Captain Beyond homepage. I don't think it was ever released as anything but a promo single. I woul'd love to have the original - promo or not emoticon

Isn't it time for Simon Robinson to include it on some Purple Records comp or box set or something?

Evans' promo solo single Hard To Be Without You/You Can't Love A Child Like A Woman from 1971. The music reminds me of The Partridge Family especially with the background vocals. Some of the still photos I haven't seen before such as at the 0:57 mark and some of the Captain Beyond photos.
