Sorry to be pedantic, but should that not be "forsook"?
Nice review.
Thanks mate! I'll change that!
You're not being pedantic! If there are any errors I prefer them to be pointed out!

Nice one, Rahul. What about the Groundhogs? Did they do 'Cherry Red'? A number of their's that sticks in my mind but which I don't know the title of has a line in it sounding like: "My chest is a bird of six inch...". I'd swear that's what the words say, but it's likely not that at all...
It's not the Groundhogs on this tour unfortunately, just Tony McPhee.
He's on acoustic guitar, while I think it's his wife on vocals!
They only played for twenty minutes at the beginning, but it wasn't the greatest example of live music I've ever seen. Tony sounded quite out of tune for most of it. He may have had a few drinks before the show!
Saying that though, after the gig, he was the first one out to greet the small section of fans who went round to the back of the theatre to get autographs, where he posed happily for photographs, before getting into his white van with his 'wife' and driving off!

Re: Edgar Winter & Alvin Lee interviews
Blimey...Tony McPhee on acoustic. They all end up there in the end, though. To me, he always looked old. If my memory serves, he had long, straight, blondey-black hair with a substantial bald patch up top. But that was in 1970? Your reference to him driving away in a van had me thinking of a band playing in Leeds once whose name escapes me. BUT!...Albert Lee was guesting with them and he arrived in some style....a beat up old Austin Maestro. And this the man who was once Clapton's support guitarist?

Re: Edgar Winter & Alvin Lee interviews
Haha! Yeah, it was quite amusing. There was this huge tour bus waiting outside, presumably for Alvin.
And Tony and his wife come out of the stage door, get in this tiny white van, and drive off!
His bald patch is still there, but the long hair is now grey!
This was a far cry from the Groundhogs. Certainly nowhere in that league. Alvin's acoustic set blew Tony's away!
How the mighty have fallen, because Tony was an exceptional player. Saying that though, when he came out for the finale with Edgar and Alvin, he played some great slide guitar. That was more like it!
