Re: Anyone into Captain Beyond?

they were okay, a few good songs, but not great in my books. I like them enough that I bought two CDs, but I don't listen to them very often. i find several songs to be quite bad really, and even for psychedelic rock the lyrics can get pretty flaky.

my 2¢

I like most of what Rod did with Purple. I have the Captain Beyond stuff and I like most of that too. I wouldn't mind seeing Rod do a live gig......just don't call it the "new Deep Purple". That boot sounds like it might be interesting! emoticon

I love Captain Beyond!! The lead guitarist of my husband's band gave it to me...it is great psychedelic rock...It's too bad, I would love to have heard more from them.

Well, I stood under your bedroom window
throwing up a brick.
No one came, I threw one more,
that really did the trick.

No, I just have some mp3 of it. Dancing madly backwards comes with a lenghty solo. They play Stone Free, too.

How does the first album compare to the Armageddon album?I heard their similiar and both feature the great Bobby Caldwell on drums.

How many times can this question be asked.....
uh...I like CB but the cover to the first album
fascinates me more than the music itself.
I'm of course speaking of the beautiful 3D cover. emoticon
