Your best ticket stub . . a bit of fun

I just got this 1985 US DP ticket stub a day or so ago, it is now my pride and joy, signed by all 5 members.

Anyone out there got anything better . . ?

Not a bad little stub there...

Tickets are cool to collect, I like full ones, I ordered the Knebworth 85 ticket, just for a keeper... I won't be doing any scans, sorry about that, but one interesting ticket I have, is my Reno 02, signed by Satriani... at the G3 with Vai and Malmsteen gig... I took it to two gigs before that, trying to get back stage, this time I got it signed, he was flabbergasted. emoticon

Blackers, do you have any bogus Purple tickets?

I might be willing to scan a full one.

Thats the one... how did you come by the Knebworth ticket?
The Rainbow one is nice too.

The Satriani one that I spoke of, is from a gig where he guested w/Purple, I don't keep my tickets at this location, but it's from this gig, where I snapped some shots...

The Bogus Purple?
You don't know of that tour that Evans was involved in, in 1980, where he and some others were sued for being imposters?????

The Rainbow ticket is from the same night and venue "Rainbow Live between the eyes 82" concert was filmed.

The Deep Purple ticket is from the Sydney 84 gig when George Harrison played Lucille with RB.

Enjoy !!

Now I remember, I think Ritchie and Roger Glover took them to court initially then a whole lot of law suits were thrown at the 'Bogus' Deep Purple. that's how I recall it all. I do not have any there ticket stubs though unfortunately.

I have a close mate in the UK whom I buy DP and Rainbow ticket stubs from, a little bit cheaper than usual costs. I do have a spare Knebworth ticket here.

That DP gig with Satriani would have been fantastic to see.

Nice tickets mate...

The bogus Purple had a gig here lined up, and I saved the ticket, it wasn't worth getting my money back for it.emoticon

I spotted Joe at the side of the stage, easy to spot his bald mug emoticon just as Gillan was babbling something about some sweet guy that they toured with in 94, not knowing who he was on about, due to too much atmoshpere, I glanced over and low and behold, it was him, he jammed for a significant amount of time, and it sounded like they'd rehearsed it, it was that good, Joe just fit in like a glove, which is no surprise of course.

Fantastic mate, I wish I could have been there, he was always a fan of Deep Purple from what I have read about Joe Satriani, I have a couple of his older albums "Surfing with the Alien" and another one.

DP will be here in Australia in May with the other LEGENDS of rock the mighty STATUS QUO, I grew up rocking to Status Quo.

Do you want a Knebworth ticket ? I have a spare if you want it just say so mate, it will be my pleasure. emoticon

Let me take a quick look, I may just have a ticket or two in the strongbox in my office, if I find one, I'll scan it, and we can make a trade, as multiples are always nice... give me a few minutes, and if there is any here, I'll scan them, and you can take your choice, if there is more than one in the box...

I managed to turn up a couple from the Bananas/MH tour, this one is from the first night they ever played MH in it's entirety, and the only night they played the tracks in the proper order... it was Vancouver B.C.

And the picks got flung to me, by Roger and Steve, in Newcastle OZ 1999.

And this is from the second U.S. leg, and it's in my county, in the only other Vancouver... WA, U.S.A. a fab show as well, with Satriani, and Thin Lizzy.
(sorry, had to link it, sometimes the host is touchy, and if you click on the pic, it will take you to my photos, and I can't have that)
