your pride and joy
Take this space to reveal your proudest Purple posession, whether it be a recording or anything else.
Mine would have to be most likely:
The Battle Of Jimi Hendrix And Deep Purple
P MP 9369/70 Japan
(2LP)tin filmcan set, this item is one in a series of "Battle Of",does anyone know who the rest of the series consisted of besides Deep Purple?
Does anyone have this?,if you do,I'm sure you know that you have a mega rare item, they go for a pretty high price but worth every penny.
The filmcan cover is super glossy and beautiful to say the least.
In mint condition I have never seen it on an auction list for any less than $300.00
this includes an encounter once on ebay about two years ago.

Re: your pride and joy
I'm quite pride of my Lp boot collection. Not especially large, but I got some fine pieces.I especially love the artwork of the "amsterdam Paradiso 69" and the triple "Perfect Live album-Switzerland 85".
I also have that Blue 45 rpm of "Hush/Dead Or alive"...but don't know how rare this is...
Still waiting for my Velvet Underground-Squeeze Lp to arrive!

Re: your pride and joy
Hi pt,
The Perfect Live Album is up there with the finest DP boots, the vinyl version is a very nice package and definetly woth getting your hands on if you can find one,the show is amazing, especially the extended SKOW,helping make it a triple vinyl.
VU squeeze is very hard to find,I gave up on that one.
Another very hard to find album is the
Adam Faith record that has Blackmore and of all people Martin Birch both playing some guitar duties. If anyone knows where to find this, even on cd,please let us know.

Re: your pride and joy
Ok, I'm not a big collecter or anything, and it's probably not very rare, but my "special" DP possesion is a bootleg of the show on 8/8/98, at Mansfield, Ma, called "Great in the Woods". Why is it special? Because I was there! It's the only time I can listen to a show and say "Hey, I was there!".
And it was an awesome show. The bootleg is pretty good quality as well, except that it has an odd click between tracks.

I've never seen it as CD. I bought the vinyl at the beginning of the 90s. It's the American Warner Bros release.
I didn't know that it is rare. In my collection I would rate the "The Last Rebel" soundtrack on vinyl or the WB Gemini Suite promo higher. Or "The Artwoods live in Wales 1964" boot...

Re: your pride and joy
I don't have any Artwoods boots myself but
I have the GS/WB whitel label promo as well as the LR soundtrack, the Adam Faith record I have had a cat# of for years but stopped looking for a copy quite some time ago,who knows it may be out on cd and easy to find,
I'll get around to researching the internet I suppose.
cat# WB/BS 2791
I think the song Ritchie played on was included on Rock Profiles Vol-2,I don't have a copy of that handy here but I'm pretty sure of it.
However I'm interested in a copy of the whole AF album.

No, the Jack Green song is on Rock Profile, but Adam Faith isn't...
