Well I'll have to edit that, actually
1c006-92301 happens to be the German single.
I have them listed in my cat book in order
and was reading the wrong one.
France is actually C006-92301
the 2 is missing,
according to the one sitting in front of me as we speak,I actually have a box of around 90 duplicate singles here in my study.
The collection is kept at mums across the river due to better home owners insurance rates.(well documented here)

Thanks for pointing that out snakehead,
btw as I asked, anyone fancy it?
Do you have this one?

No, I don't have it. I'm not such a serious collector...

I'm sure cat numbers can be found somewhere on the net?
What a comfort that must be,I've had to do the painstaking work myself all these years.
I should do some research myself,it will most likely help me complete my book,I will be sticking to the mention of stuff that I
happen to own versus research, unless I have an inquiry of something I'm looking for,as not to confuse anyone with what is a part of my collection and what isn't.
I won't be doing any picture placing here,
however if I have shots of anything I mention of interest I will scan them and send them along to an email address,I'm not interested in putting things up for the whole world to see what I own,
I'd rather keep it to discussion.

I was interested in the cover picture you mentioned and so I had a quick look into Ingo Fengler's Purple Single book where I found the different cat. number. It's really recommendable for your work, there must be around 1000 singles in it...

It's on my list actually,I forgot about it
till Nigel mentioned it to me recently.
It's the sort of thing I've been working on for twenty years off and on.
Very nice I'm sure,I hope it doesn't put me off too much,I'll probably never finish anyway.
I started it because there isn't anything much out there in the way of this sort of thing.
I certainly don't have a 1000 Purple singles,more between 3 and 4 hundred,not including counterparts Whitesnake,Gillan and Rainbow.
That brings me closer to about 600 or so.

What are you talking about?

This is a picture sleeve single from France, not speaking of any other territory SKOW was released in.
You may not exactly understand how single releases are described, due to their multi regional nature, when speaking of Purple.
To release a single in one territory, is only part of it, as all of the territories had distinguishible differences, making them collectable for that purpose... it could have a different version, or different b-side, and always had different artwork, between them.
And the amount of territories they released them in, lends highly to their overall record sales figures, as the sale of one, counts as a "record sale" whether it be an album, or single... believe it or not.
Catalog numbers, are how they are identified, and in Purples case, is the only way to track their existance, no standard record collecting guide, will produce anything in the way of infos about them, you have to get things like Ingo's book, mentioned by snakehead.
(they're a unknown collecting legacy)

I had the single signed this time in B.C., I'll have to scan it and upload it.

Sorry. I was only refering to the fact that I got the 1985 reissue vinyl maxi featuring SKoW, IA and HS. Surely not a rare item, but interesting though.

As far pictured vinyl/CD are concerned, I really don't care. Only the content matters to me.

And of course, I know the edition policy for singles. Who wouldn't? We all spent enough time abroad searching for local editions...
