Re: Remorseless Review of Crapture of the Shallow

Gillan's the obstacle? No one said Ritchie had to do the fairie music? SIUA was mediocre to good...but he did find a capable vocalist and with a better supporting cast...he could've put out decent rock music.

But he's not playing rock...and while he might go back to some sort of rockier sound now....I just don't see it ever being anything approaching the good ol days...or for that matter ROTD.

You Morsified Zombies still have an incredibly difficult time with reading comprehension. The Silent Screamer and Prozac Kid are obstacles preventing a legitimate Deep Purple lineup from performing today.

These pretentious, selfish and ungrateful snobs are against a one-off show of the Mark II lineup or a Purplefest with all living members. If this bogus lineup did not exist then Mark III would reunite if only for a few shows.

Of course, Ritchie could resurrect Rainbow again with or without Dio. I hope he has enough sense not to reform Rainbow with JLT. The Man in Black was the creative force behind Purple and anything he does will be infinitely more interesting than the four humiliating post-Blackmore albums released by the Lemon Sisters.

No! MKIII would NEVER reunite!! Blackmore don't like funky rock music. Have you heard what music Glenn Hughes are creating these days? Nothing has changed since the seventies, and a MKIII reunion wouldn't last an whole evening....

There hasn’t been a decent album released by a band using the Deep Purple name since Perfect Strangers.

Well Blackmore was responsible for THREE of those crap albums, remember?

1. House Of Blue Light
2. Slaves & Masters
3. The Battle Rages On

He was also responsible for inflicting JLT upon us all.

Purpendicular was a decent enough album compared to the above mentioned crap produced when Blackers was in the band.

Where's the connection between Morse-era DP and sheep?

In denial of what?

Have you taken my advice yet...!?

Re: Remorseless Review of Crapture of the Shallow

It's obvious he hasn't taken your advise Mr. Tait.....

Remorseless'arguments have more holes in their logic than the movie Independence Day.

"Ritchie's back up band" only makes good music when he's there...but there are numerous examples of crap when Ritchie's been the leader of a band....most JLT Rainbow....TBRO...SM....

But Remorseless will contradict part of his logic, insult us both and cut and paste a reply from an earlier post in a few hours...:-)

BY the way I've been listening to the THOBL recently and I'm starting to come to the conclusion that it's a lot better record than many here give it credit for...but thats a topic for another thread...

I think Remorseless is great! I actually look forward to his posts now on this thread because they are so out there on the edge! I wonder who he really is? Someone on the forum having a laugh perhaps? I would say Brian Stephens, but I just can't see him being arsed to do it for so long!!

Brian is so far out himself, he wouldn´t need to hide behind another name. He´s having enough fun with the forum members himself.

The Silent Screamer and Prozac Kid have both emphatically stated that they have no intention on performing with a legitimate Deep Purple lineup again. If Ritchie and Jon want to perform together in Deep Purple if only for a few concerts then it would have to be the Mark III lineup. Glenn knows not to interrupt Smoke with Georgia on My Mind this time around.

The Repulsive Runt should not have been hired to replace the Silent Screamer and the Redneck Reaper should not have been hired to replace the Man in Black. Both of these lineups were bogus. Burpindicular was a load of southern fried crap.

You’ll have to ask telboy1 about the sheep connection. If you think Burpindicular is decent and found anything to like about Fruity Vegetables then you’re a Morsified Zombie all right.

Reread the above comment on reading comprehension. Blackmore’s former backup band has never released a decent album without him. This statement does not suggest that it’s impossible for Deep Purple to release an album that’s crap with the Man in Black.

At the time, the House of Blue Light was the worst album ever released by Deep Purple and I was greatly offended by the JLT era Rainbowized Call of the Wild and Mad Dog. This album was the beginning of the end of Deep Purple. Incredibly, it’s better than the albums that have since been released using the Deep Purple name.
