DeepOz mentions the crash during CIT.
What was it?

I like 'Live In Japan', even if it is for Purple completists and historians.
It's good to see how they came up with the final pick of tracks for 'Made In Japan' (i.e. RB's !@#$-up openings to 'Smoke On The Water' on the 16th and 17th).

I think the mix is better than the orginal 'MIJ' but inferior to the recent one.

I don't think the mix is better. Glover sounds lost in the mix.

What exactly does DeepOz means by 'the crash (symbol)'?

The crash on CIT off MIJ is the reverb unit on either Ritchie's amp or Lord's Hammond... They tilt the amp - or organ - and let it fall back into place - and the reverb makes the 'crash' effect... Watch the concert dvds...

I always thought it was an amp blowing. You get the amp rocking/reverb crashes on the scandinavian nights video and it doesn't seem to be quite the same noise.

I happened to notice LIJ is very affordable nowdays, just around 12 Euros (delivered)! I think I paid close to 30 Euros for my copy in the late 1990s.

I don't know how many copies were printed, but I think fans should get this one while they're out there.

Okay, it's not like with Sonic Zoom originals, which have disappeared even from the Purple Records catalogue!

Oh yeah I just bought it recently for the price of 9e (+postage, but I ordered some other albums too so the 'real' cost was not 12e).
I was surprised at how cheaply they're letting it go.

CdOn? I think their price was 8.95 plus shipping. Of course, if you buy something else, too, you'll 'save' on the shipping. I recall Play.com was 12.99 delivered.
