I had her first record in the early 70's when she was doing a bit of a country flavor to her music. The one with her long. beautiful hair standing next to a tree and some of the songs were"Let Me Be There" and of course "I Honestly Love You". I loved her voice and delivery. I lost interest when she went Disco and then did that silly movie with Vinnie Barbarino. She made a good comeback in the early 90's with a CD where she actually started to sing again and I have always liked her when she sings.

On one hand I can see your point, on the other - wasn't her SINGING superb in both Grease and Xanadu?

Yeah, that's quite a different Xanadu! And sung in a slightly more beautiful voice!

I was either still in high school or fresh out of school, in which case i was way too cool to pay attention to either on and have never seen or heard either other than one or two from Grease.

Do yourself a favour - rent Grease DVD (Xanadu is a hardly a good film but Grease is awesome) and get Xanadu OST. Olivia is featured on 60% songs with ELO taking a 40%. Best soundtrack of all time. Breathtaking. Chances are you will enjoy this now that your school days are over!
